Non-Profit Network of Nurseries in Lisbon, Portugal Strategic Guidelines

Abstract: The increased involvement and participation of young children, in high-quality day care centres, affordable and in the neighbourhood, as part of framing the cities in the agendas defined for sustainable development, aims to satisfy child’s needs as well as the greater parental involvement in a digital information society, in order to raise the indicators of quality of life and well-being. The planning of a non-profit network of nurseries for the city of Lisbon, in the context of local public policies, intends, from the diagnosis, to safeguard future needs, defining a methodology for the demographic evolution, based on the potential to urbanize.
