Abstract: In order to investigate crustal thickness beneath the MDT broad band seismic station installed in Midelt region, Morocco, we applied the H-k stacking technique proposed by Zhau and Kanamori (2000) based on stacking several receiver functions computed from different teleseismic events. We used more than 60 teleseismic events recorded by MDT during the years 2016 and 2017, located at epicentral distance between 30° and 90° and having magnitude greater than 6. After the computation of receiver functions, only 20 events which show coherent result are selected to be used in the H-k stating technique. The estimated depth of the Moho under MDT station is about 40 kilometers. In other hand, we investigate the dispersion curve of surface waves generated by some seismic events recorded by the MDT seismic station. A joint inversion of the receiver functions obtained in the first stage and the mean dispersion curves allowed us to derive 1D shear waves velocity model which confirm that crust-mantle boundary is located at the same depth estimated by the use of H-k stacking technique.
