A Methodological Proposal for Teaching-Learning University Mathematics With Artificial Intelligence
(Department of Politics and Culture, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana – Xochimilco, Mexico)
Abstract: The development of new mathematics teaching-learning methodologies is a pedagogical task that must be carried out every day in any educational field. The appearance of new tools that could support this process, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), should be explored to validate or not their use in it. This work aims to propose its use at the university level in the teaching-learning of university mathematics through an empirical methodological proposal resulting from its application in the classroom. This proposal is made up of five stages: previous knowledge of mathematics of the subjects necessary to learn the mathematics of the corresponding course; have extensive reference documentation and bibliography on the subject; have access to all the necessary information and communication technology elements in the university classroom and at home that allow the use of artificial intelligence as a learning complement; establish a mathematics teaching-learning process with AI in the classroom, and finally, evaluate its application.
