Abstract: There are few results found in the literature on the use of homeopathic products in food and the production of cattle, despite their sales offer. The purpose of this study is evaluated the average weight gain of the Senepol breed with homeopathic product in an extensive system. There were 20 steers, with a mean age of 16 months and an initial weight of 307 kg, randomly divided into two lots: a control lot, receiving protein salt and water ad libitum; and a homeopathy batch, with the same protein salt, water ad libitum and the homeopathic complex Peso Pasto Plus, added directly to the animal supplement. Homeopathic administrations were daily for a period of 100 days, 1 g per kg of protein was offered. The control of weight gain was performed from three evaluations, dividing the analysis of the experiment into two periods. After analysis, greater control was found than the average daily homeopathy batch, comparing the control gain, with subsequent stabilization. Despite the greater weight gain, this is restricted to only one period of the entire experimental design. It is suggested that further studies must be developed.
