Respecting the Environment: An Innovative Blended Learning Scenario

Abstract: This scenario is part of teaching English as a foreign language to Junior High school students. Building and gaining knowledge is achieved through their constructive cooperation in groups with the integration of digital tools with blended learning being the mode of delivery. Students will develop metacognitive skills, visual, digital, informational, critical literacy as well as active citizenship’s developmental skills. They will also gain knowledge about the relationship between humans and environment, through dialogue, during their cooperation in groups (online or in- class settings). In this way their ecological consciousness will be formed together with a system of values including, among others, prevention of ecological damage.
