Abstract: The teaching-learning process in higher education demands changes that promote the quality that is required in Ecuador from the Organic Law of Higher Education. Information and communication technologies make a communication revolution generally limited to those who can access it and have knowledge of them. Technology has encompassed several fields, today we talk about the syndrome of educational technology, the researcher Justo Chávez emphasizes that the rise and versatility of technology means that its use is located in all stages of the education system. From this perspective, the teacher must possess the skills and knowledge necessary to promote the use of ICT as a very important didactic and practical means, which will allow adequate preparation of the learners.
