Abstract: The proposed teaching scenario is based on the subunit “Golden Age” (5th century BC) of the 4th grade history book and it is an attempt to deepen into the great spiritual wealth produced in the 5th century BC century in Athens. With a combination of creative writing, critique of analysis, structuring of subsections in a text, collection of information experiential representation and use of electronic software, it aims at building new knowledge in an exploratory way, within the context of critical teaching. Students, following a combination of a personal or collaborative work environment, are called upon to investigate, to critique and to present their own interpretation concerning material and intellectual goods of 5 century BC and their value nowadays.
