Abstract: This paper is the result of a research done to identify some difficulties faced by teachers from the Northern Zone of the State of Guerrero, Mexico, concerning the foundation, explanation and analysis of the integration of the logical treatment of concepts for the teaching of algebraic equations in secondary school. The fundamental question of this study was How to instruct teachers to integrate the logical treatment of mathematical concepts into their training? In order to response this question, we developed a methodological alternative to address the teaching of equations at this level of education. This paper emphasizes six basic actions for the treatment of mathematical concepts: recognizing and distinguishing properties of concepts; identifying, classifying or systematizing, defining and exemplifying concepts, in this case, referring to the concepts of algebraic equations, included in the mathematics education program in secondary school.
