Teacher Work in Courses for Teachers in Service: Similarities and Differences

Abstract: This paper presents results of postdoctoral research that has as main concern the understanding about the teaching work into the courses/trainings of acting primary teachers, in Brazil and Argentina. This requires effort to apprehend the contexts, the scenarios, the institutions, their agents and the organization of the didactic work, considering the existence of similarities and differences. For this purpose, the printed materials used in Brazil were found, bibliography that covered such training programs, interviews with trainers and visits to training centers in Argentina and consult the official documentation in both countries. The results presented here allow broadening the discussion of the field of teacher education, especially dealing with the conception of continuing education developed in recent years in the countries mentioned.
