Abstract: This article was rooted in the theoretical framework of Mosston’s Spectrum of Teaching Styles (STS) research literature, discussions of the graduate classes in a physical education teacher education (PETE) program, and the experiences and understanding of the STS theory and the ways we implemented the STS. Additionally, a brief overview for teachers who are not familiar with the STS but may wish to adopt and implement the STS to their teaching also includes. The following points would add new perceptions into the field of PETE: (a) Our experience with the Spectrum theory; (b) Our learning and understanding of the Spectrum theory; (c) The Versus approach and the Non-Versus approach; (d) The reproduction cluster and the production cluster; (e) The implementation of the Spectrum Theory; (f) The implementation of the STS; and (g) The conclusion.
